You Don’t Have to Earn the Pause.

Dear Friend,

Today, I’m leaving for Greece with my daughter Mattie, and as excited as I am for the places we’ll see, I keep thinking about something much simpler: the gift of actually being present for it.

So many of us spend years believing rest has to be earned. That we can pause after the work is finished, everyone else is taken care of, and the list is finally complete.

But what if we stopped waiting?

This week’s Best Day Ever is a reminder that you don’t have to earn the pause. You’re allowed to make room for rest, presence, joy, and the moments you’ll someday wish you could have back.
